Overview

Once you've created a customer or business, you can open a credit account for them.

The response to a request to create a credit account contains information regarding the newly created account, including an account_id. This is the UUID used to reference this account in subsequent API calls.

To open a credit account for a customer, use the POST /accounts operation and provide parameters as shown in the table below.

Parameter	Type	Description
`customer_id` ^{either customer_id or business_id is required}	string	The unique ID used to reference a customer resource. For example, `6f0e7dcb-6073-42df-bf02-ce71bd5fac3b`.
`business_id` ^{either business_id or customer_id is required}	string	Unique ID used to reference a business. For example, `6f0e7dcb-6073-42df-bf02-ce71bd5fac3b`.
`program_id` ^required	string	Unique ID that represents the card program offered to customers by your brand in partnership with a bank.
`type` ^required	string	Type of account to be created. Currently only `deposit` is supported.
`description`	string	Optional, free-form field to enter a description of the account to be created.
