Account states
What state can an account be in and how does this affect the flow of funds
Overview
Accounts have four possible states:
Active
Inactive
Frozen
Closed
The states and their interactions are illustrated in the following diagram.

Note
The
frozen
state can only be set by Bond compliance.
Different states have different rules for moving money. For example, I might deactivate my account when on vacation, but I don't want my payroll to bounce, so for Inactive Accounts, funds can come in but they cannot go out.
